James Nagy will present his book, Smith Mountain Dam and Lake, on Thursday, May 12, 4 p.m. at the Westlake Library. The presentation is free and open to the public.  Call (540) 721-1991 for information. 




Sharyn McCrumb, New York Times Best Selling author, will present a book talk, discussion, and signing of her new book, Prayers the Devil Answers, at Bethlehem United Methodist Church, Moneta, on May 31 from 4 p, to 6 p.m.. The presentation is free and open to the public.



Kathleen Grissom, New York Times Best Selling author of The Kitchen House, will present a book talk, discussion, and signing of her new book, Glory Over Everything, at Westlake Library on June 9 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.




Diane Fanning, New York Times Best Selling true crime and mystery author, will present a book talk, discussion, and signing at the SML/Moneta Library, July 7 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. The presentation is free and open to the public.




Two Comedy Cafes


Both feature original works by Lake Writers, including readings of the collaborative, worst-novel-ever written, Nekkid Came the Swimmer.


Westlake Library June 16  from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by the Friends of Westlake Library. The event is free and open to the public.


Bethlehem United Methodist Church July 15 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Refreshments will be provided by Lake Writers. The event is free and open to the public.
