What is the Bower Center for the Arts?

The Bower Center for the Arts, under the umbrella of the Wharton Memorial Foundation, is a non-profit art center nestled in the heart of Bedford, Virginia at the corner of Bridge Street and Bedford Avenue.

Since 2006 the Center has worked toward providing a cultural arts center in Bedford and continues to build upon that foundation to provide an atmosphere of learning and personal growth through entertainment and education in the Visual and Performing Arts. Music and art classes are offered to children and adults.

The second annual Summer Arts Camp provided two weeks of quality in-depth art and music experiences for area students. Studio space is used by several artists who work and teach at the Center. Musical performances and special events round out our offerings.
