Show Review
The Art Show was held October 28-30, 2011 at the Resurrection Catholic Church. 60 artists entered the show featuring 140 paintings. Student artists entered 10 paintings in the student competition.
Nancy Stellhorn and Mary Lou Koons co-chaired the event with the Artists on the Loose serving as the committee. Dr. David Webster will serve as judge. Mr Webster received his BA and MA. degrees in England, while obtaining his PhD in Art Education at Florida State University, Tallahassee. Clif Collins entertained our audience on piano throughout the reception.
Smith Mountain Arts Council and Artists on the Loose would like to express their appreciation to the Civic Organizations and Businesses that contributed cash awards that were presented to the artists and helped make this show possible.

All Regional artists are invited to enter the 22nd Annual Art Show 2011.

Opening Reception
The opening reception will be Friday October 28, 2011 at 6:30 PM. Awards will be presented at 7 PM. We will not be notifying the award winners before the reception. Please plan to attend.
Public Viewing
Saturday and Sunday, October 29 and 30, 2011, 10:00 AM - 4 PM
Eligibility
Entrants to this non-juried show must be 18 years of age or older. Middle and high school Students may submit one entry to be judged in the Student Category. ALL WORK MUST BE ORIGINAL. No reproductions, copy work, computer aided work or photography will be accepted.
Presentation
All artwork must be ready to hang with wire attached. NO Exceptions. The dimensions of each artwork must not exceed 50 x 50 inches including frame. Entries are limited to a total of THREE per artist. Please fill out a 3 x 5 card with the Title, Artist name, Medium, and Price for each submitted work and place on the front of the piece. Works submitted in a previous SMAC Show will not be accepted. The hanging committee reserves the right to hang and place the artwork as deemed appropriate. SMAC reserves the right to refuse any work it considers objectionable.
Entry Fees
Non Members: $20.00 for the first entry $10.00 for 2nd & 3rd entry.
SMAC Members $12.00 for the first entry $8.00 for 2nd & 3rd entry.
Student Fee is $5.00
Limit of three entries per adult and one per student.
If you wish to become a SMAC Member you may apply in the entry form.

Delivery of Art: Thursday October 27 2011, 2-7 PM at the fellowship hall entrance of the Resurrection Catholic Church, located on Rt 122 in Bedford County. No work will be accepted after this day.
Pick-up of Art: Sunday October 30 2011. 4-6 PM and Monday October 31 10 AM - Noon. We are not able to store artwork. No work may be removed before the end of the show.
