"Broadway Musical Revue" - August 13, 2010
A Tribute to Broadway a Success!!!
It was Friday the 13th and the performance of "A Tribute to Broadway", with the wonderful songs and funny commercials, was a hit for the sell out crowd of 125 people at Bernards Landing Conference Center. (It was actually sold out 3 weeks before the performance.) This was a short version of a show written and produced by Will Hockersmith a few years ago. The cast had as much fun performing as the audience had in watching. And believe it or not, even though it was Friday the 13th, the clouds passed us by with nary a drop of rain.
Our next production will be sometime in November, and we are hoping to do a repeat of the Broadway tunes next spring. Nancy King deserves many accolades for the superb job she did in directing the show, as well as dancing and singing her heart out. Thanks to the whole cast of singers, dancers and musicians that took part in the show.
