Grab your sweetheart and put on your dancin’ shoes! On Saturday, February 11, from 7-10PM, The Smith Mountain Arts Council is hosting a Valentines Day Dance in the gym at the Smith Mountain Lake YMCA.
Music will be provided by the big band sounds of ”Let’s Dance” (Note to the ladies: pointy heels not allowed on the gym floor…it’s just like high school.)
Bring your own wine, beer or non-alcoholic beverage. You can also bring light snacks like chips, pretzels, M&M’s. Keep in mind there is no kitchen at the Y, so everyone has to setup their snacks and take care of their own cleanup.
You can buy tickets in advance for $10.00/person at The General Store, Print and Paper and The Visitors Center at Bridgewater Plaza. Tickets can be purchased at the door for $12.00/person ($10.00 if you are a SMAC member). You can also call Marty Bowers at 540.297.0965 to make an advance reservation.
So bone up on your favorite dance moves and be ready to a have a raucous good time. (Chaperones will make sure there is no foolin’ around on the dance floor.)
