Roanoke Children's Theater at the Taubman Museum
"A Year with Frog and Toad"
Dec 18, 2009 - The Moneta Elementary kindergarten classes attended the Roanoke Children's Theatre at the Taubman Museum this week.with their teachers Terry Haywood and Rona Nolen-Brammer.
The Smith Mountain Arts Council was responsible for inviting the schools to participate in seeing the play "A Year with Frog and Toad".
The children have been reading the series of books about Frog and Toad in their classes. Children from the Dudley School also saw the play later this week. The trip to the Taubman Museum also included a mini tour of the facility and the children enjoyed that as well as the play.

The director of the Roanoke Children's Theatre is Pat Wilhelms, who also presented a theatre program to the children involved in the SML Good Neighbors program. The SML Good Neighbors/Roanoke Children's Theater program was sponsored by the Smith Mountain Arts Council.
The Smith Mountain Arts Council (SMAC), established in 1989, is a 501(c) (3) non-profit organization and serves a large geographic area surrounding Smith Mountain Lake.
